2. How much is it to register?
Registering the software
cost $15.00 US. The software can be registered at this page.

3. Why should I register?
Registering provides you
with a serial number that unlocks several features. The
registered program allows printing of item lists, it allows item
list to be maintained between program runs and it allows item
lists to be exported. Registering also removes the startup delay.

5. When I paste a value into a field the program
just plays a sound and nothing else happens?
This happens when the
data being pasted is not in the format that the field is
expecting. Only valid numeric values and fractional values are
allowed. Fractional values can only contain a single space
separating the whole and fractional parts of the number.

6. How can I reduce the Qty value of an item in a
list?
To decrement the quantity
of a entry in the item list delete the item and re-add the item
holding down the option key and enter the new quantity in the
dialog that is displayed.

7. Can I save and load different lists?
This is not supported by
the software.

8. What's the most efficient way to input many
items into a list?
There are two techniques
that will help speed up entry of multiple items, first organize
your data so that minimal fields need to be changed between
entries and second, the navigation shortcuts to move between
fields.

9. Why is there a delay when the program starts up?
The delay is only present
in the unregistered version. To remove the delay register the
program here.

10. When I type in the Registration Code I get an
incorrect password message on my screen, what's wrong?
The password is case
sensitive, make sure the code looks exactly like the one you
received. Make sure that your using the latest version of the
software. You can download it here.

11. Why am I not getting the correct answer?
Boardfoot Calculator
allows you use the nominal dimensions of the lumber. For example,
a surfaced piece of 1 X 4 stock may actually measure 3/4" X
3-1/2" but you would still enter 1 for the thickness and 4 for
the width. Using the preferences you can configure Boardfoot Calculator
to round dimensions for you, in this case dimensions are rounded up to
the next whole inch.
